Saunders Arrested for Assault, Drug Possession

St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the report of an Assault in the California area. Deputy First Class William Ray discovered during his investigation that Suspect Thomas John Saunders was in violation of a current Protective Order. Suspect Saunders had gone to the victim’s residence, assaulted the victim, took her vehicle, and fled the residence. Deputies located Suspect Saunders and DFC Ray arrested him and charged him with Violation of a Protective Order. A search incident to arrest revealed that Suspect Saunders was in possession of CDS paraphernalia. Suspect Saunders was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Violation of Protective Order, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and CDS not Marijuana.
