A former Tucson police detective faces drug possession charges after she admitted to investigators she made copies of prescriptions to illegally obtain painkillers. The Oro Valley Police Department says Faye Dietsch was charged July 27th with two counts of unlawful possession of a narcotic drug. Police records show Dietsch used duplicate and original prescriptions to obtain 440 pills in May and June. Dietsch retired from the Tucson Police Department on July 31st. The Oro Valley police investigation began June 26th when a pharmacy worker noticed a recent Percocet prescription had been filled with a copy of the prescription rather than the original.
