Ben Venue Laboratories to add drug-manufacturing plant in Bedford

Ben Venue Laboratories just keeps getting bigger. Following the approval of a tax abatement Monday night by Bedford City Council, the Bedford-based pharmaceutical company said it will move forward with plans to build a 144,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at its campus off Northfield Road. The project, budgeted at $71.5 million, is expected to create nearly 200 manufacturing jobs over two years, with hiring to begin soon. “It seems like we’re always growing,” said company spokesman Jason Kurtz. “Ben Venue’s never been in a place where we haven’t been hiring . . . and we do pretty well recruiting here in Cleveland.” More : cleveland.com |
