A 44-year-old Dickson man was arrested Sunday after lawmen discovered he was using a trailer house, occupied by his 3-week-old and toddler daughters, to manufacture methamphetamine. Junior DeBord was arrested on a series of pending drug and firearm charges including drug manufacturing, maintaining a dwelling used by drug users, endangering children and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. All the charges carry after-former-conviction. DeBord was taken into custody by Carter County Deputies Gary Watson and Casey Caudle about 10:53 a.m. Watson said he and Caudle went to DeBord’s Berry Road residence after receiving information he was using the family home as a drug lab. The pair of deputies obtained consent to search the premises and discovered labs in a bathroom inside the trailer and in a camper trailer located near the residence. Watson said Reserve Deputy Harvey Burkhart and his drug dog, Cap, were instrumental in the lab take-down. Agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Drug Enforcement Agency assisted. A hazardous materials removal company was also called in to remove and dispose of the highly volatile chemicals used to manufacture the illegal drugs. More : ardmoreite.com |
