Adams County CANDO team arrests eight people for drug distribution

Eight people were arrested in Adams County early Thursday morning for distributing drugs in the Hastings area. The group was arrested by members of the Adams County Compact for Apprehension of Narcotics Dealers and Offenders. Hastings Police Chief Larry Thoren said the people were arrested beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday at various locations in Adams County. They ranged in age from 21 to 44. Thoren said the majority of the charges involve methamphetamine. Several additional people are being sought in connection with the investigation, which remains open, he said. During the execution of the arrest warrants, CANDO members discovered additional evidence of illegal activity. According to a press release, 215 W. Fifth St. in Hastings was searched and meth, marijuana, guns and other contraband were recovered. Source : theindependent.com |
